Waterbird
Waterbird, 16" x 20", oil on stretched canvas, stapled on back, signed on front. Last February 2006, my husband and I went to a park and walked around enjoying mild temperatures and lots of sunshine. We happened upon an out of the way little pond that was covered in a slimy looking scum and the winter afternoon sun caused the pond scum to appear pinkish. The waterbirds didn't seem to mind at all. Bisbee Library, pen and ink and watercolor. Depicts a couple of the outstanding features of the old Bisbee Library in Bisbee, AZ. On a visit in December 2005, I fell in love with the architecture of this old structure.

Coronado's Peak, Arizona
On exhibit in Phil Rea, Inc. showroom, Newport News, Virginia, March 3, 2007 through June 23, 2007: Coronado's Peak Arizona, 16" x 20", oil on stretched canvas, stapled on back, signed on front. This painting represents one of the views on top of Coronado's Peak in the Sierra Vista area of Arizona. You can see into Mexico in the distance, but the barren tree and golden grasses held my eye.

November Bird
Acrylic, 20" x 24", stretched canvas. The season changes; leaves drop and a bird's shelter goes away. Sitting in the sun brings some comfort.

West Virginia Barn *SOLD*
Acrylic, 20" x 24", stretched canvas. This barn on a hill could be most anywhere. It happens to be in West Virginia. I sat on my camera as I got back into the car and broke it. The film was still good, so I got the shot I wanted on this country road.

Thru The Trees *SOLD*
Acrylic, 24" x 20", stretched canvas. This fun, colorful, piece was done from a photo I took in a park. I was struck by how the trees lined up as if they were a doorway to the water. To make it more lively I opted for bright colors and loose stokes. I love the result.
